The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Manila together with the Ministry of Economy and the Central Anatolian Exporters Union (OAIB) are currently organizing a Buying Mission to Istanbul, Turkey scheduled on 1-5 May 2012.
This mission aims to encourage Philippine companies engaged in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R), Pumps, Valves, Fittings, Water Treatment, Insulation, Solar Energy, Swimming Pool, Sauna, Spa and Equipment to explore the market potentials of Turkey by providing them an excellent platform towards a cost-effective and rewarding business networking with industry players.
The Republic of Turkey recognized to be a strategic gateway for commerce; has a well-deserved reputation for fostering profitable and worthwhile business deals within a progressive and dynamic society. Being the 17th largest economy of the world, Turkey also offers a significant domestic market. The country is excellently positioned as a natural production and marketing base in the region, due not only to its neighboring countries in the East and West but also to its proximity to numerous other countries in the Eurasian region. It can be easily accessed from different ports of entry to transport goods to/from abroad via any means, presenting further competitive flexibility.
HVAC-R Industry in Turkey has started since the 1950s and from then it has rapidly developed its production output, this is to keep up with the growing market. However, it was in the 1980s when the actual market development started and the 1990s was the boom of the industry, companies started pouring in and starting up tremendous operations and with high class standard of facilities for production.
In recent years, exports of HVAC-R units and parts have had an upward trend. In 2010, it registered an export value of US$3.6 billion. Exports reached US4.5 billion by increasing 25% in 2011. Top countries patronizing these Turkish HVAC-R products are UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
