Philippine Business Conference & Expo


The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), in partnership with the Intellectual Property Office Philippines (IPOPHL), is now accepting entries for the 2018 Alfredo M. Yao Intellectual Property Awards (AMY IP Awards)! The AMY IP Awards seeks to promote locally-developed and socially-relevant intellectualproperties and to strengthen intellectual property development and protection in the country.

The AMY IP Awards shall be conferred to Filipino-owned intellectual properties that have contributed or have the potential to contribute to economic development and social awareness. A candidate may be an individual or a group of individuals.

There are four categories:

  • Youth level are entries from grade school to high school or from individuals aged not more than 18 (if not a student);
  • Collegiate level are entries from undergraduate school students;
  • Professional level are entries from post-graduate students, researchers and individual inventors; and
  • Special Award for Industry-Inventor/Innovator Collaboration are existing industry-inventor/innovator partnership related to IP

Individuals or group of individuals must submit an accomplished registration form, accompanied by a patent search report showing the novelty of the invention conducted by an ITSO or any proof of novelty from IPOPHL such as certificate of letters patent or a registrability report for a utility model, and other materials (e.g. brochures, additional documents), if any supporting the entry.

The deadline of the submission of entries is on 24 August 2018 (Friday).
