President's Message

It is my great honor and privilege to assume the presidency of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)!

I am grateful to my predecessor, Mr. George T. Barcelon, and the PCCI Board of Directors for their contributions to the Chamber as well as their leadership in propelling the Chamber’s advocacies, membership services and international business relations to greater heights.

2018 marks the 40th anniversary of Letter of Instruction 780, which bestowed upon PCCI its important and catalytic role as the recognized “Voice of Philippine Business”. As the new president of this revered dynamic umbrella organization of more than 35,000 strong and viable enterprises, I commit to continue our steadfast role as the champion of entrepreneurial resilience, sustainable economic development, and inclusive business.

Through your unwavering trust and support, we will usher in a new wave of opportunities and ensure we will continue to nurture PCCI’s main thrust of “helping do better business” for our members. Under the theme “GIANT STEPS to PROSPERITY or ‘Promoting Entrepreneurial Resilience, Industrialization and Tech-ready economy’ for Inclusive Business,” we will provide our members with more-than-adequate programs, services, and avenues for pursuing our shared mission of creating globally competitive enterprises while remaining steadfast in our collective pursuit in addressing the country’s pressing issues on sustainable and inclusive economic growth and development.

Amid the rapid technological advancement and global integration that posts some challenges to our traditional ways of doing business, we will take advantage of opportunities to synergize and develop constructive, stronger and mutually-beneficial relationship with the national and local governments, other peer institutions and international bodies and organizations that will crystalize the movement for championing innovation and greater prosperity for MSMEs.

We recognize the trust that the international business community places on our capabilities, and in response we will devote our resources and efforts to more meaningful partnerships, consultations, job creation, trainings, trade and investment missions, and business matching events so as to help further grow our economy.

PCCI has established a stable and thriving regional network encompassing the National Capital Region (NCR), North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. We will continue to harness this important backbone of our institutional strength and commit to further diversifying our resources for regional outreach to enable more programs that result to direct impact on local economic development and regional dynamism.

With much excitement on the prospects that lie ahead, our advocacies will continue to build upon the unparalleled institutional reach and influence of PCCI in advancing key economic reforms to further accelerate the growth and dynamism of MSMEs. It is about time we explore new ventures and avenues that dig deep into consolidating global supply and value chain opportunities for our MSMEs!

On behalf of the Board of Directors of PCCI, I look forward to helping all of you do better business!

Thank you!

MA. ALEGRIA SIBAL LIMJOCO PCCI President
